Interactive feedback ballet

Welcome to the world of interactive ballet, where innovation and artistry converge to create a truly unique performance. Discover the protagonists of my upcoming live show, a groundbreaking ballet that explores the synergy between music, movement, and technology. At the heart of this performance is the Feed-Guitar, my very own augmented guitar that produces the musical backdrop for this experimental journey.
Prepare to be captivated as this performance unfolds, revealing a dynamic interplay between devices, environment, artistic expression, and human interaction. This convergence results in an entirely novel performance experience, redefining both musical composition and execution.
Stay tuned for more details and live performance videos, coming your way soon.

Central to this experience is an interactive artwork that shares the stage with the dancer and the Feed-Guitar. Equipped with sensors, actuators, and an advanced control algorithm, this element facilitates seamless communication between the dancer and the Feed-Guitar performer. Responding to the dancer's movements, this interactive artwork generates a control signal that influences the strings of the Feed-Guitar. The sophisticated learning algorithm processes inputs from both the dancer and the environment, generating an analog signal that modifies the instrument's sound in astonishing ways.

Renowned Iranian scenographer, Negar Motegh,  is transforming this interactive stage set element into a true work of art, adding depth and visual allure to the performance.

More insights into this interactive set element will be unveiled shortly. A comprehensive scientific paper delving into its technical intricacies is also available for those interested.

Leading this performance is Anna Manes, a seasoned artist known for her ventures into experimental productions. Anna's role is multidimensional – she both engages with the interactive stage set element and becomes a vessel for the music of the Feed-Guitar. This symbiotic relationship creates a mesmerizing feedback loop, where Anna responds to the Feed-Guitar's music, and in turn, the interactive stage set element reacts to her movements. This synergy is made possible by the control algorithm embedded within the interactive stage set element, effectively becoming a form of compositional intervention.

Anna is currently crafting the choreography for the performance, which is expected to debut with a 20-minute rendition. Brace yourself for an experience that blurs the lines between artist and instrument, human and machine.

At the heart of this innovative performance lies the Feed-Guitar, a revolutionary augmented musical instrument currently in the process of patent application. In a symbiotic dance of its own, the Feed-Guitar's sound is shaped by the interactive stage set element's control signal – a remarkable 30% of its driving force. As the strings respond to the ISSE's output signal, the resulting sound undergoes transformative timbre shifts, adding another layer of intrigue to the musical landscape.

The interaction quality is curated through a harmonious collaboration between performers and algorithms, with the composer overseeing this dynamic partnership.

What emerges is a living ecosystem, where humans and intelligent machines coalesce to create an unparalleled artistic experience.
